Nose Block and Nasal Allergy Clinic

Both children and adults suffer from runny nose during seasonal changes. Most of them are allergy sufferers. But an allergic involvement of the nose is commonly mistaken for “catching a cold “or “thanda legeche” as known in Bengali. Many of them do have temporary viral infection and take unnecessary antibiotics.

What will be done?
You or your child will be fully examined in this clinic. The full allergy history will be taken.Inside of the nose may be examined with a endoscope. An Allergy test either on the skin or a special blood test may be organized.We will also measure your respiratory effort as alarge number of patient suffer from asthma. A smell test may also be performed if there is any problem with smell.

After examination the situation will be discussed with you and a treatment plan agreed upon. We will monitor the progress , or if the situation detiorates.

What happens?

Patient comes to reception →Fills up a questionnaire→ Has a smell test→ Seen and examined by ENT Doctor →Has Skin prick test if necessary/or Rigid Nasendoscopy→ Treatemnt plan agreed upon → Follow up arranged
