Achievements
We are pleased to inform that we have successfully done our second Cochlear Implant on a 3 1/2 year old child at Medica ENT.
The child Anushka Ghosh is doing well.
The father could not manage enough funds and till 25th Nov 2010 morning. We were unsure about whether we could proceed with the surgery. The family was disappointed as the surgery was already planned and everything arranged. However, on the 25th, within a span of 24 hours we at MEDICA ENT could raise
Rs. 1,10,000/- from another well wishing patient of ours and from personal friends in the US. It was really satisfying to see the smile of happiness on the parents' faces after the surgery.
This is the second instance where we have been able to implant children whose parents could not afford the total cost of the treatment.
